Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are indeed together. Gwen's reps confirmed the relationship via E! Online following weeks of speculations that they could be dating.
The rumors spiked when "The Voice" judges were caught in pictures looking cozy with each other last Halloween, as previously reported on Parent Herald. Then, the "No Doubt" lead singer flew to Nashville Wednesday to join her new guy for the Country Music Awards, prompting her reps to finally confirm that yes, she and Blake are an item.
While the rumors have been hounding the pair ever since they started working together on "The Voice," some of their friends were surprised to learn it's true. "There's no way Blake could ever score a girl like that," said country singer Luke Bryan, per CNN.
People Magazine reported that "The Voice" host Carson Daly was "a bit shocked" to hear about the news, too. "I didn't think Blake could get a girl as hot as Gwen to be honest. I really didn't," Daly said. "He's a goofy cowboy. She's the queen of cool. But God bless them. They're two of the nicest people in the business. We're thrilled that they're finding each other." A separate People story confirmed that the new couple are writing a song together.
Hollywood Life reported that even Blake's ex-wife Miranda Lambert is surprised about the relationship. A source allegedly told the news outlet that Blake even convinced Miranda he and Gwen would never become close because they have no chemistry.
"There were so many moments between Gwen and Blake on The Voice and he always told her there was nothing between them, he even told Miranda that Gwen isn't his type, that she's too skinny," said the source, who also suggested Miranda felt like she was "conned" by her ex-husband.
But in another E! Online report, a close friend of Miranda's allegedly said the revelation is not a surprise. "They were always pretty flirty," the source told the news site. "Miranda is at a point in her life where she is really focusing on herself and her music. This is a new chapter for her to create new relationships and really move on," the insider added.
Meanwhile, Gwen's ex-husband Gavin Rossdale was with their kids in Los Angeles while mom was in Nashville with her new boyfriend. Per Daily Mail, Gavin was seen playing soccer with his boys and then dropping one of them off to school.
