Kids Misbehaving? Pay Wrinkles The Clown To Freak Them Out!

Clowns bring smiles to kids in birthday parties, costume parties, fairs and a lot more. However, a 65-year-old clown wants to make parents smile – by freaking misbehaving kids out, for a fee.

His name is “Wrinkles,” and the Washington Post reported that he's been seen in different places: in gatherings, in public, and outside people's homes. In fact, the Palm Beach Post informed that he has been at it for years, at least since 2013.

The identity of the person behind the mask is unknown as of now, but for a fee of 'a few hundred bucks,' he can do various things for you: he can appear at your gatherings, prank people or even scare your kids straight up when they are misbehaving.

Recently, Wrinkles told the Washington Post that a mother who had a problem with her 12-year-old child hired him to scare the kid, because of misbehavior.

“He was scared of clowns and I showed up across the street from him at the bus stop and he just started crying in front of his friends and ran home,” Wrinkles told The Post. “His mother called back a few days later and said ‘Thank you!’ Now when he acts bad, she just has to ask him: ‘Do you want Wrinkles to come back?’ ”

Wrinkles' costume will even scare some adults who don't like clowns as a kid. His mask shows a wrinkled face with wide black eye holes and receding white hair. He wears a red-and-white polka dot onesie with black rubber gloves and he's usually seen holding a bundle of balloons in his hand.

Wrinkles told the Post that he's a Rhode Island transplant and military veteran, who tried out various jobs before retirement. He's divorced and without family ties. About five years ago, he went out from New England to escape the cold winters, and settled into a more relaxed life in Florida.

Unlike other retirees his age, Wrinkles said that it's boring to just play golf and hang out. Hence, he ordered a clown mask online and started his clowning business.

“It’s fun,” he said. “You get to be someone else. You get some people who are petrified and some people who want you to come home with them.”

He added that he's a remnant of the past.

“I’m just a good old-fashioned clown,” he said. “When I was a kid, it was okay to scare kids and now they’re all whiny and scared.”

“I want to bring scary back.”
