With "Wonder Woman" to begin production soon, leaks have been circulating online about the alleged characters and plot, which, if put piece by piece, will give fans some details on how "Wonder Woman" will turn out on the big screen.
Last month, JoBlo reported the primary villains that Wonder Woman will face. Circe, who is rumored to be played by Eva Green, is a sorceress that turns her victims into animals. Meanwhile, Ares, the God of War, is rumored to be played by Sean Bean. Circe will have a purple get-up while Ares will sport a "classic mythological armor."
Ares will have an "army of beasts," which he will employ to kill Wonder Woman. Meanwhile, sorceress Circe will transform into a “Chimera-like monster” to defeat Wonder Woman in the final battle.
Adding to these, a new leak from Heroic Hollywood states how these two villains will lay their evil plans in "Wonder Woman." According to the news outlet's sources, Ares will steal a special blade from the Amazons, which will make him the most powerful God and take over Olympus. But in order to unlock the sword's powers, Ares must start World War III. As the God of War, Ares gets his power from "malevolent psychic energy," which means that a world war will give him enough strength to unlock the blade. However, at the end of "Wonder Woman" after the final battle, the said sword will disappear.
Its disappearance will lead Wonder Woman to enter "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." According to Heroic Hollywood, after the sword vanished, Diana/Wonder Woman will be looking for it on Earth, which gives her enough reason to be in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." This means that "Wonder Woman" will be a prequel, and the events in the movie will take place before those in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice."
The said possibility of the movie being a prequel corroborates with producer Charles Roven's statement to Collider. He said, "Wonder Woman, when we see her in Justice League 1, will have evolved from Batman v Superman. Unless we decide that in one of these stories we’re gonna do something that happened in the past and have it be more of an origination story, in which case you’ll realize how that character became what they were in the movie that they were first introduced."
Juicy as these details may seem, they must still be taken with a grain of salt until confirmed. "Wonder Woman" is slated to be released on June 23, 2017 while "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
