January Jones: 'It's Not the Public's Business' Who Fathered Her Son

"Mad Men" star and model January Jones is refusing to say who the father is of her 20-month old son, Xander, amid widespread media and fan speculation.

"That's my son's business," Jones said to the New York Times. "It's not the public's business."

The 35-year old star has been linked to her "X-Men" director, Matthew Vaughn, who is married to model Claudia Schiffer, in addition to the director of her latest film "Sweetwater," Noah Miller. Jones was seen earlier this year at an Oscars party with actor Liam Hemsworth - who is currently engaged to Miley Cyrus - and was dating "SNL" star Jason Sudeikis before Sudeikis began dating Olivia Wilde.

ABC News listed married actor Xander Berkeley among January Jones' "5 Top Suspects" for the father of Xander, as it would seem an obvious choice given that the "Seeking Justice" actor shares the name of Jones' child, though it does seem unlikely Jones would name her baby after Berkeley if she were trying to keep their affair a secret. However, as ABC noted, "stranger things have happened in Hollywood."

Grillmaster Bobby Flay and Jones' "X-Men" co-star Michael Fassbender were also on ABC's suspect list last year, but despite the best efforts of the media, it looks like Jones maintains her stance that Xander's father should and will remain a secret.

"Women should have lots of secrets. It's our right to have secrets," she said to the Times. "Otherwise, what would we write in our memoirs?" According to the Times, Jones had a "gleam of mischief" in her eyes when she made that statement several days ago.

Jones also refused to dish to the Times about her off-screen romances and relationships.

"I'm not trying to sell myself," she said. "I wouldn't know how."

She also spoke about eating her son's placenta after his birth in order to ward off post-partum depression.

"It was like taking a vitamin blended into a smoothie," she said. "I'm a mammal. I nursed. I did all kinds of weird stuff."
