'Gilmore Girls' Star Alexis Bledel, Vincent Kartheiser Expecting Their First Child? --- More Details Here!

"Gilmore Girls" actress Alexis Bledel is expecting her first child with husband actor Vincent Kartheiser. The couple have not made the announcement official, but a source revealed the pregnancy via Celebuzz.

"They are expecting but they don't want a lot of people to know," the source told the news outlet. "Only close friends and family know about the baby." The insider also shared that while the couple are keeping the pregnancy news hush hush, Vincent is said to be "very happy" about the coming baby.

Per Hollywood Life, close friends of the soon-to-be dad were seen congratulating him during the premiere of his National Geographic Channel movie "Saints & Strangers" in Los Angeles Monday. The couple have been married for over a year but have yet to speak about starting a family.

The pair have always maintained a private life even when they were dating and despite their status as stars of hit TV shows. Alexis is famous for her role as Rory Gilmore in the fan favorite series "Gilmore Girls" with Lauren Graham, while Vincent is one of the supporting actors of the critically-acclaimed series "Mad Men" starring Jon Hamm.

Per Bustle, Alexis and Vincent met on the set of "Mad Men" when the actress guest starred during the show's fifth season. She played the mistress of Kartheiser's character, Pete Campbell, but only had a three-episode appearance.

The cast of "Mad Men" already saw that Alexis and Vincent were perfect for each other but they didn't go on a date right away, per Famously. "Honestly, they're a really good match. They're both very down to earth, with a sense of responsibility and strong family ties. And they've been acting since before they can remember, which makes for a very special personality. It's not just that I thought they would look cute together," said "Mad Men" creator Matt Weiner in a 2014 interview via Vulture.

A year after they started dating, Vincent proposed to Alexis and they were married in 2013 in a private ceremony in California, per People. "They are such a yin and yang," said Vincent's "Mad Men" co-star Elisabeth Moss in the report. "I've known Vinny for 12 years and Alexis is just the sweetest. I've never seen Vincent like this. It is really cool."

Meanwhile, Alexis is set to do the follow-up series of "Gilmore Girls for Netflix nearly eight years after it went off the air. Per Hollywood Reporter, the planned revival is only going to feature four special episodes and it's not clear how Alexis' pregnancy will figure into the story.
