Katy Perry's father Keith Hudson was at the receiving end of an angry rant from a Christian woman who told him that he was partly responsible for driving millions of kids to hell. The woman recorded how she accosted Hudson in video.
Hudson is a preacher who works at the Phoenix Christian radio station where he was attacked. The attacker was identified as Christine, who criticized Katy's latest video "E.T." because the singer was having sex with a demon, per TMZ.
"You claim to have a ministry?!" Christine shouted at Hudson, according to Huffington Post. "Minister your daughter, because that is needed more than ever."
As the woman berated and questioned Hudson's capacity as a preacher and a father, the real reason for her anger surfaced. "Because my kid watches your kid's videos and it's sending him to hell, because of the choice he made because of your daughter and your lack of discernment and direction. Shame on you!" Christine told Katy's dad.
Hudson remained calmed and composed as this was happening and tried to reason that his daughter's video had nothing to do with her son's actions. He also gently reminded Christine to resist judging others, per Vulture. Not once did the old man shot back at the vicious woman. But he did ask her, "Do you think you're acting like a Christian right now?" per Gossip Cop.
He later told TMZ that this is the first time someone attacked him over his daughter and he was a bit concerned the incident would turn physical. Fortunately, that didn't happen and the woman eventually walked away.
Hudson said he feels sorry for Christine who sounded like "a bitter and angry woman trying to blame my kid for her kid's mistakes." Watch the video of the attack on Hudson below:
Per Daily Mail, Hudson did once call his daughter a "devil child" who needed spiritual healing. "I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church. I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshiping the wrong thing," Katy's father said when she watched her daughter sing "I Kissed A Girl" during a concert.
But the evangelist has since mellowed towards Katy and was even happy his daughter was the main entertainer in the last Super Bowl halftime show. "I'm always proud. I'm a proud father."
