Jamie-Lynn Sigler Defends Kim Kardashian's Baby Weight Gain

Kim Kardashian has been the subject of much media scrutiny for her formal maternity wear and even her weight gain, but now actress Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who is also pregnant, is jumping to the reality star's defense, according to the Daily Mail.

During an appearance on the show "Watch What Happens Live," Sigler said she felt "really bad" for Kardashian and all of the criticism she's received, claiming that her own breasts ""quadrupled in size" during her pregnancy.

'"I feel really bad for her. It's hard being pregnant," Sigler said to "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen. "Your body does change; I mean my boobs have like quadrupled in size and it's hard."

"She's doing her best and I think she looks beautiful," she said. "I mean she's carrying a baby; I feel bad for her."

The "Sopranos" star announced her own pregnancy with fiance, minor league baseball player Cutter Dykstra, in February, just two weeks after becoming engaged. This will be her first child.

"We definitely thought it was going to be a slow relationship process and possibly an engagement - I felt like it was coming - so the baby definitely threw us for a loop," the star said to SheKnows, revealing to the entertainment site that she is expecting a boy in August.

Kardashian's sister Khloe also blasted critics in a letter posted on Kim's Celebuzz blog.

"I find it disturbing that society loves to critique a woman's shape no matter how beautiful or happy she may be within herself," Khloe wrote. "'I would hurt for her for years if all she remembers is the pain and emotional abuse she has received from so many vicious people,"

Pop singer Cheryl Cole recently shared her support for Kim Kardashian on Twitter. "I can only imagine how tough it is to be heavily pregnant and feeling extremely vulnerable on top of some of the daily criticism you take! I admire your tenacity and send you my best wishes with the rest of your pregnancy," she tweeted the reality star, causing Kardashian to respond with gratitude, telling Cole that her messaged really "touched" her.

Kardashian is due to give birth to her first child in July, just a month after her boyfriend Kanye West's upcoming album "Yeezus" is set to be released.
