Hollywood superstar Matt Damon was recently spotted in the London, England set of the fifth installment of the "Bourne" movies and it doesn't look like his character is doing okay.
Photos from the set surfaced on the internet, which showed Damon as Jason Bourne with blood all over his face. Little details are known about the plot of "Bourne 5," but the leaked photos taken from the production are indeed making movie goers eager to find out what's going to happen.
One photo had Damon filming at a building rooftop, fighting against "a bald dapper man," per Aces Showbiz. The actor was also spotted pushing his enemy towards the edge of the building while holding a piece of paper in his hand. Another scene showed the actor seemingly recovering from his fall from the rooftop following the fight.
Per Daily Mail, the actor has been seen filming in England for over a week and it looks like they shot the most intense scenes so far. However, "The Martian" star also took time to relax during set breaks and even as he had fake blood makeup on, he was seen smiling and talking on the phone.
The news outlet also reported that Damon was wearing his "Bourne uniform," which comprises a dark brown jacket, black shirt and jeans. He was spotted holding a gun on the set, too.
Damon reprises his role as Jason Bourne, which he first played in 2002 in "The Bourne Identity." He would then play the role for two more times in the follow-up movies, "The Bourne Supremacy" and "The Bourne Ultimatum." Damon would beg off working in the movie's fourth installment "The Bourne Legacy" so Jeremy Renner had to take over as lead character Aaron Cross.
Renner will return in the fifth installment along with Julie Stiles who was part of the second movie. Per Coming Soon, Tommy Lee Jones, Riz Ahmed, Vincent Cassell and Scott Shepherd are just some of the new faces in the cast of "Bourne 5." "Bourne 5" is still a working title as the studio has yet to come up with its unique title.
Meanwhile, Damon talked to Buzzfeed in August and gave some hints about the upcoming movie. "It's Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world," he said. "It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy."
The film is slated for a July 2016 release.
