'Super Smash Bros 4' DLC Characters: Shovel Knight Excluded From DLC, Final Fantasy 7's Cloud Confirmed [Rumors]

The hype regarding Nintendo's famous brawl game “Super Smash Bros 4” just seems to stay high as reports circulate. But more than just rumors, a character has been confirmed by the Japanese game company, adding a lot more hype to the already hyped-up crowd.

Earlier reports mentioned rumors of new stages and new characters. The likes of Yacht Club's Shovel Knight, Isaac (from “Golden Sun”), Wolf O' Donnell (from “Star Fox”), and the Inklings (from “Splatoon”) have been rumored to be included in the game. However, as earlier reports say otherwise, it would be best for players to just wait for the release.

Last month, it was reported that although an Amiibo figure of the Shovel Knight has been discovered, game developer Yacht Club has officially stated that Shovel Knight will not be included right now. However, they did not rule out possibilities of a future inclusion.

It was also mentioned that the top fan-favorite characters include King K. Rool from “Donkey Kong Country,” Dixie Kong from “Donkey Kong Country,” Ridley from ”Metroid,” Shantae, and Snake, aside from the aforementioned names.

Now, a new character has been confirmed. To the joy and happiness of Squaresoft and RPG fans, a video of famous buster sword-wielder Cloud Strife of “Final Fantasy VII” joining the ranks of Samus Aran, Mario, Ryu and Megaman in the brawl game, has been released.

According to iDigital Times, this new announcement was made via Nintendo Direct that happened in YouTube.

Cloud Strife, seen in various games such as “Final Fantasy VII,” “Chocobo Racing,” and “Kingdom Hearts,” is shown in the Smash Bros 4 video wielding his iconic buster sword and wearing multiple outfits: one basic look, and a more detailed one from the “Advent Children” animated movie.

Shown in the same video are some familiar characters that fans of the Final Fantasy series would immediately recognize, such as Ifrit, Bahamut, and Chocobo, among others.

No specific dates were given regarding Cloud's release and availability for use. He'll be available for both Wii U and 3DS platforms.

Another good news, Clapway reported that “Super Smash Bros” will be offered on Black Friday, bundled with “Splatoon” and the Wii U. Meijer will sell the “Super Smash Bros” and “Splatoon” Wii U 32GB bundle for only $249.99 with a $30 gift card to be used for the next purchase. Gamestop's bundle sells for $279.99, and without a gift card.
