Sony Xperia Z3+ is Officially Available in The US -- Where To Buy [Release Date, Review & Price]

The Sony Xperia Z3+ is now officially available for purchase in US soil and the ones who were hoping to get their hands on one can now finally do so.

Though not really among the new devices in the Sony lineup, the device which is a bump from the original Sony Xperia Z3+ can now be purchased via B&H photo for $499.

For some, the device may be better known as the Sony Xperia Z4. It was hardly something that gained ground presumably because of the mix-up on the proper model name of the device.

Regardless and knowing however how some models have been known to be renamed for other countries, the important thing is that it is now within reach for US-based folks and even comes with an official warranty at that (one year from the date of purchase).

The seemingly late revelation does seem a bit off considering that Sony’s latest device, the Sony Xperia Z5 is already out in the US market. It remains to be seen if the Sony Xperia Z3+ will still make an impact though pricing and its features could be its driving factor.

For the ones planning to get one, be advised that the Sony Xperia Z3+ will be available only in black and white variants for now. While the listing over at B&H shows other color variants (copper and aqua green) that are available, they will most likely follow.

As far as the specs of the Sony Xperia Z3+ is concerned, there are minimal changes compared to its predecessor.

That includes a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor (1.5 GHz octa-core) which should provide some added processing power for the ones wanting a well-juiced device.

For the benefit of those who are unaware of the full specs of the Sony Xperia Z3+, here they are:

  • 5.2-inch (1080x1920) touchscreen display
  • 3 GB of RAM
  • 32 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD)
  • 20.7 MP main camera
  • 5 MP front-facing camera
  • 2930 mAh non-removable battery (something that can reportedly last for up to two days)
  • Runs on Android 5.0.2

The device is dust and waterproof, meaning that Sony included outdoor use and ruggedness as factors for the said device.

It may not be the newest device that Sony has to offer but seeing it debut in US soil is better than not having it within reach.

Could this be a phone that would entice you to get one?
