There is no doubt that many gamers are looking forward to the arrival of "Final Fantasy 15." The hype about the anticipated role-playing game has never slowed down. A new report claimed that a new combat system will be introduced in the upcoming title.
According to Nova Crystallis, the official "Final Fantasy 15" Twitter page is active in fielding questions from their fans and some of those questions have been answered in the game's official forums.
Among the questions asked is the possibility of utilizing a gambit system for the game's AI similar to that of "Final Fantasy 12." Prasertvithyakarn Prasert, lead game designer, and AI programmer took the time to address the said concern stating, "We have created a system for FFXV where the player can decide the battle style that they and their comrades use, although this takes a different form to the gambits in FFXII. This will be revealed at some point in the future so look out for further information."
Meanwhile, another concern fans were eager to know is if "Final Fantasy 15" would feature some sort of monster climbing mechanic similar to what was shown in the original 2013 E3 trailer.
"There is a gameplay mechanic where you can debilitate enemies by destroying parts of their anatomy and it plays an important role in the battle," said Yuji Kenichiro, lead game designer and combat planner. "It is possible to make these kinds of attacks against specific areas on gigantic monsters by either striking them directly using the warp ability or by positioning yourself by the enemy's vulnerable spots using parrying actions against their attacks."
These revelations suggest that "Final Fantasy 15" would be another exciting game to play. By now, fans can't wait to hear more about these features but as Prasert said they will reveal it in the future. Thus, gamers should just wait and look out for more leaks and spoilers.
On a separate note, gamers can expect a better simulation for "Final Fantasy 15." Per Dual Shockers, in an event held in Japan, Square Enix revealed that their team used new techniques for delivering a high-detailed vertex-based simulation for the characters' cloth and hair.
The team developed a highly-customizable system to constraint the animation of the bones as freely as possible and with this, they were able to simulate cloth and hair with various material. Moreover, the same system works well in simulating food and muscle behavior.
Square Enix recognized the importance of the hairstyle in a character's image and they are working hard to give it a realistic and natural simulation as possible. The process is a challenge to the team as it defies the laws of physics and they "break the physics" to give the character its desired look when in action.
These reports only intensify the gamers desire to play "Final Fantasy 15." The wait won't be long because the title will be launched on PS4 and Xbox One in 2016.
