There is no doubt that every "Iron Man" fan want Robert Downey Jr. to reprise his role as Tony Stark in the upcoming movie "Iron Man 4." The actor is just perfect for the role, but there are reports claiming that Marvel might get a new and younger actor for the next "Iron Man" franchise.
Parent Herald previously reported a possible Downey-less "Iron Man 4." Up to now, there is no official release date for the said film. However, Marvel Studios has scheduled three untitled movies for 2020 and fans are hoping that one of these films will be the return of the self-proclaimed genius, billionaire, playboy and philanthropist Stark.
There are reports claiming that Ty Simpkins will be taking over "Iron Man 4." The 14-year-old actor played as Harley Keener in "Iron Man 3." His performance earned him a nomination for Best Performance by a Younger Actor at the Saturn Awards. If the movie will be released in 2020, the earliest time to start filming might be in 2018, by that time he will be 17.
However, many are still looking forward to seeing Downey Jr. in "Iron Man 4," as Cinema Blend put it "Despite his impressive resume, it's a stretch to imagine that Marvel Studios believes he has the presence and charisma to replace Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man."
Well, there is a possibility that the "Sherlock Holmes" star will be taking "Iron Man's" suit once more. There are reports claiming that the deleted scene from "Ant-Man" points to a potential spoiler for "Iron Man 4."
According to Entertainment Weekly, the upcoming "Ant-Man" Blu-ray has "generous-sized array of bonus." Its deleted scene featured Paul Rudd and Michael Pena doing some dance moves. But what stirred the interest of many is that the deleted scenes featured a character significant to Stark a.k.a. Iron Man, which sparks the rumors that it is an Easter Egg for "Iron Man 4."
In a separate report from Cinema Blend, Peyton Reed and Rudd discussed the commentary they did for "Ant-Man" and then the director pointed out to something and asked the actor if it was a 10 Ring tattoo. Rudd said it was not the case, but more likely he is just avoiding the matter and is obviously just making a bit of fun out of it.
10 Rings is the organization behind Stark's kidnapping in the first "Iron Man" movie. The group was run by Mandarin and was blamed for all the chaos in "Iron Man 3." Many fans are looking forward to seeing "Iron Man" against this group because it will surely be an exciting encounter.
Now that the organization was relived, will Stark finally meet the Mandarin or the 10 Rings in "Iron Man 4?" Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
