Floyd Mayweather is someone who has been known to be overly wealthy and at some point, his children will ultimately be the benefactors of his riches.
Seeing however the massive fortune that he now-retired and undefeated American boxer has stashed somewhere, handing out expensive presents wouldn’t be so bad.
And the first one to taste all that is his 16-year-old son, Koraun who just got one expensive birthday gift – a Mercedes Benz C-Class Coupe.
The special gift, which costs somewhere between $39,000 to $60,000 (depending on what features come with it), was indeed one expensive but sweet gift for Koraun who was obviously elated with it as seen on Mayweather’s Instagram account.
Mayweather is a certified car lover who has had the knack of purchasing rare and expensive vehicles. Last October, Mayweather added a 2015 Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse to his collection as reported by the Las Vegas Review Journal.
This came after Mayweather lost four cars that included a Rolls Royce, a Bentley and custom Jeep in a fire as the vehicles were being transported from Las Vegas to Miami as reported by TMZ.
Mayweather’s luxurious gift is an exquisite follow-up gift that the boxer gave to his son last year. For his 15th birthday, Koraun got a gold-clad Bentley Golf cart that he gave his son for his 15th birthday. It was here where the boxing champ hinted that the best is yet to come and, apparently, that was this year with the Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe.
With the expensive vehicular gifts, one has to wonder if Mayweather would have anything else in mind for Koraun’s 17th birthday. At the rate he is going, could another expensive vehicle be on the horizon as Floyd pampers his son to the max?
Regardless and how much his gifts cost, Mayweather can obviously afford it.
Though his farewell fight against Andre Berto was not exactly a box-office smash, the fact is that bulk of his earnings came when he fought Manny Pacquiao back in May.
According to a report from Forbes back in June, Mayweather hauled in a record $300 million in a span of 12 months, something that dates back to September, 2014 when Money fought Marcos Maidana.
In a separate report also from Forbes, Mayweather amassed a total of $700 million for his 19-year career capped by the $32 million payday he got when he fought Andre Berto.
With a seemingly enormous amount that could be pretty tough to spend in its entirety, does Mayweather, it isn’t that surprising why the undefeated boxer is no longer interested in lucrative paydays after that September 12 farewell fight.
This does not however discount Mayweather from possibly returning to the ring at some point for some reason. But for him to do so, it has to be something that will interest him to fight again with the money angle probably playing second fiddle.
