“GTA 6,” the successor to the best-selling Rockstar game “GTA V,” has been subject of much rumor and speculation lately. Rumors include a release date and features such as new and improved content like maps, characters, and missions, among other things.
Speculations claimed that it will be released sometime soon, however, NeuroGadget reported that Rockstar Games will take their time before releasing “GTA 6,” as changes and improvements will be made to it.
"There are very low chances of the 'GTA 6' game to be released in the next two years. It will take more years for the developers to build this game," NeuroGadget reported. "We agree that they have many ideas they can use, but still, a game such as 'GTA' can't be built in just 2 years."
CrossMap reported a huge map is also coming. This leaked information comes from a Reddit user named VermillionDemonFox, who posted a photo of the huge map.
The leak detailed that the upcoming “GTA 6” map combines all maps from earlier “GTA” games into one huge, consistent world map. It includes Vice City, Liberty City, San Andreas, and San Fiero, among others.
This seems to be supported by what Rockstar producer Leslie Benzies told Digital Trends back in 2012.
“Of course at some point we would like to have one big world containing all our cities and let the player fly between them and revisit their favorite areas,” Benzies said, “and in that context reimagining Vice City would be very interesting.”
Also, rumors of a female lead character are also circulating. This rumor has been around since Rockstar's Dan Houser revealed a possibility of having a game with a female lead, in an interview with The Guardian back in 2013.
“In the future, could we do a game with a lead female character? Of course,” he said. “We just haven't found the right game for it yet, but it's one of the things that we always think about. It didn't feel natural for this game but definitely for the right game in the future – with the right themes, it could be fantastic.”
Additionally, speculations regarding money-making missions are also around. Christian Today reported that some are claiming that “GTA 6” could add new money-making missions like robbing banks, or having jobs like joining the police or military.
Given that Rockstar hasn't released any official word on the game just yet, it's better to take all of these rumors with a grain of salt. It won't be bad to hope for these though.
