There is no doubt that among the much-anticipated movie in 2016 is "X-Men: Apocalypse." The mutant superheroes will once again face a new battle in the big screens and fans will witness it. The good thing about the upcoming film is that it highlights the characters who were not given long screen time in the previous films. So, we will learn more of those characters which include Quicksilver.
Parent Herald previously reported about Evan Peters teasing about his role as Quicksilver in the upcoming flick. Magneto played by Michael Fassbender and Quicksilver had a short time together in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" but their encounter will be extended in "X-Men: Apocalypse."
"The story is that my character is searching for his father and wants to find him," Peters said about his role in "X-Men: Apocalypse". "It starts there and then he jumps on the X-Men train and gets sucked up in this whole Apocalypse madness: He tries to stop him from destroying the world."
In a recent interview with Collider, Peters revealed more about what fans can expect from Quicksilver in the anticipated blockbuster superhero film. "Quicksilver does his thing again, in the new film. It's bigger, longer and more detailed," the actor said. "I think it's an amazing sequence that they've put together. Just filming it, I was like, "Oh, my god!" I think we shot for 22 days of second unit, working on the sequence, which is amazing."
Peters believed that the sequence he shared is "going to be fun and enjoyable" when the people watch it. "Quicksilver running around and doing his thing in slow-mo time. I hope people like it," he teased.
Meanwhile, James McAvoy in an interview with IGN talked about the deleted scene in the original "X-Men: First Class" disclosing that it contained a fight scene involving Professor X and Magneto working together against an overly dumb man who is over 7-foot tall.
The actor revealed that both characters were in a room without metal so the magnet-manipulating skills of Magneto couldn't be of help. Meanwhile, their adversary was mentally underdeveloped for Professor X to manipulate his mind. With both of their power neutralized, they have no choice but to fight the giant man physically and they were victorious.
McAvoy revealed that they broke his neck and his dialogue includes "I couldn't bend that man," which reminded him of the scene and everyone laughed. The actor revealed that the scene was cut because it was too silly. But, that would probably be a good laugh for everyone. Well, let us see what humor "X-Men: Apocalypse" in store for us.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" will hit the big screens on May 27, 2016.
