The Smiths singer Morrisey recently launched several verbal attacks against Kate Middleton, slamming the Duchess for allegedly enjoying the dish foie gras, according to thespec.com.
"Congratulations to Prince Charles for banning foie gras from all his functions," Morissey wrote on his online fanzine. "However, unsurprisingly, this most savage and cruel commodity continues to be the favorite 'dish' of smiling mother-to-be Kate Muddleton (from whom, in fact, we expect no less.)"
He went on to criticize the department store Fortnum & Mason for selling the French delicacy, as the production of foie gras uses a method cruel to ducks and geese, which are force fed until their livers are fattened. However, his disgust for the practice was overshadowed by his criticism of Middleton's unborn baby.
"Fortnum and Mason have found suppliers in France who will keep their shelves stocked - possibly with the hope that smiling Kate will wobble in and place an order for her unborn child," he wrote.
Morrisey's recent attack on Middleton is based on a tabloid gossip item from several months ago, in which a restaurant waiter told a journalist that the Duchess ordered foie gras as a starter.
This isn't the first time the rock singer has attacked Middleton, as he blamed her for the death of a hospital nurse who committed suicide after a hoax call from Australian DJs posing as the Queen of England and pretending to call Middleton's hospital room last year.
At the time, Middleton was in the hospital for severe morning sickness, but Morrisey said she was hospitalized "as far as [he] could see for absolutely no reason," calling the arrogance of the royal family "staggering."
