Another film that fans are looking forward to seeing in 2016 is Warner Bros' "Suicide Squad." This DC antihero team will surely bring a fun-filled action in the big screens. However, a new report claimed that one of the villains-turned- heroes will be doomed.
Per Movie Pilot, "Suicide Squad" has a controversial MPAA rating but despite this fact, the upcoming film will still be "incredibly dark." For this reason, one of the super-villains will likely face his death.
The report suggested that death of a major character is a common plot in superhero films. These deaths provide the team or the other superheroes a reason to keep the fight and to never give up.
However, the "Suicide Squad" is a team of villains behind mass destruction and havoc. Each needs a good reason to take the responsibility of saving the world. There must be a good reason to keep these criminals work together and save the earth and there will be no better plot than to have one of them die while serving his purpose. So, who will it be? Perhaps, someone with the most moral among them all.
The report suggested that Deadshot, the character portrayed by Will Smith, might leave the "Suicide Squad" sooner. He served as the leader of the team and among them all he has the biggest heart.
Fans knew that Deadshot is a family man. He will do everything to provide for his daughter even if it means working as a hitman or working with the likes of Amanda Waller. He also shares the same goal of every father, and that is to protect their children. You might still find it difficult to forgive him for his crimes, but surely enough he gained your sympathy.
The "Suicide Squad" trailer featured a lot of scene of Deadshot and his daughter, which seems to suggest that they wanted to highlight the character because "he's the character with the most to lose." The film will reportedly show the compassionate side of the DC supervillain and while it will be nice to see it, that will also mean that he will not make it to the end credits.
Meanwhile, Forbes reported that the "Arrow" and "Gotham" villains were killed by DC for the sake of "Suicide Squad." The two TV shows have their corresponding villains similar to that of Deadshot and Joker, but both were killed.
"DC possibly orchestrated this on purpose to make sure that Arrow's Deadshot (played by Michael Rowe) was not going to produce a conflicting version of the character when Suicide Squad's Deadshot (played by Will Smith) is one of the leads of the film alongside Harley and the Joker," the report said.
Will a villain-turned-superhero leave the "Suicide Squad?" Let's see.
"Suicide Squad" premieres on Aug. 5, 2016.
