Adele's '25' Album Not Available for Streaming

Adele's latest and most anticipated album "25" arrives today, Friday, and according to The New York Times, fans won't catch her album on Spotify.

"25" is the British singer's first album release in five years and it is expected to be a great hit, the news outlet noted. However, it was made clear on Thursday by sources, who are knowledgeable of Adele's record plans, that the album won't be available on different streaming services like Spotify, the Times reported.

Meanwhile, Spotify also had its say on the matter and confirmed the news.

"We love and respect Adele, as do her 24 million fans on Spotify. We hope that she will give those fans the opportunity to enjoy 25 on Spotify alongside 19 and 21 very soon," the digital service told Gizmodo.

Sources also said that "25" won't be available to Apple Music and Deezer, the tech news outlet continued. This means that those who want to listen to Adele's fresh music simply need to buy the album.

It remains to be seen if the new album will be available soon enough, but Gizmodo noted that the "Hello" hitmaker's previous albums were eventually made available to digital music services after a long wait.

None of Adele's representatives made a comment on the issue. However, the Times gathered that music executives revealed that there's a possibility the singer might decide to release her album after a said "window."

The 27-year-old songwriter was also involved in the decision making about her album's limited release, the news outlet continued. She is one of the few artists, who don't want their music to be readily available in different streaming sites for free.

The decision made by Adele and her management reflects the one made my Taylor Swift last year, Reuters reported. Swift announced that her "1989" album will not be available on Spotify, but she decided to release it in July via Apple Music.

Meanwhile, Mashable already provided a review of Adele's newly released album. According to the news portal, the songs in the album convey nostalgic messages, particularly from the track called "When We Were Young."

All in all, there's nothing completely different about Adele's "25," the review noted, but the album still offers equally brilliant songs that Adele is known for.

Swift may have restricted the availability of her music, but that didn't stop her album from being one of 2014's bestsellers, according to Gizmodo. Despite not releasing it for streaming, "25" is also likely to become a smash hit.
