Fans of the game “Fallout,” no need to wait longer as Bethesda Game Studios announced that they are working to release the first game patch for “Fallout 4” as early as next week.
Gamespot reported that “Fallout 4” has bugs – some issues are hilarious, like this one; while others are game-breaking. Although the game company said that this installment is their “most robust and solid release ever,” they also admit that it has some problems.
In a blog post, Bethesda Game Studios said:
“It's true that the freedom our games offer you can lead to unintentional consequences that are sometimes bad, when the game combines too many unexpected elements at once. Given the scale and complexity of the systems at work, especially when allowing you to build your own settlements, we're happy that Fallout 4 is our most robust and solid release ever, and we'd like to thank our amazing QA staff who worked as hard as anyone to break the game so we could fix it during development.”
IGN reported that “Fallout 4” sold 1.8 million digital copies in the first three days of its release, indicating that fans consider it good despite its bugs. It's a good sign for Bethesda. Even better is that they listen to players.
“But a hundred testers will never replicate the many millions playing the game now, and we're hard at work addressing the top issues,” Bethesda wrote. “Expect to see more updates, that are smaller and more frequent, than a few big ones.”
The game company also said that they are working on the release of the game patch, and will release it first for the PC, then for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
“Our process for updating the game will include releasing a beta patch on Steam, followed by full release on PC, then release on the consoles,” Bethesda explained. “This process has worked well for us in the past and allows us to get more fixes out faster. This allows us to make sure each fix is working right, as any change can have unintentional side effects in a game this huge.”
It's worth noting that the game company didn't release any detail on the problems or bugs that its fixing, nor the details of the patch. However, what matters most to players now is the game patch's scheduled release. Regarding this, Bethesda has something to say:
“We expect the first beta patch to be up next week.”
