Telltale 'Game of Thrones' Season 2: Game Confirmed, Major News Coming Soon -- What We Know So Far

George RR Martin's popular book "A Song of Ice and Fire" has reached the televisions and consoles. If HBO adapted the New Mexican author's work in their hit fantasy-drama "Game of Thrones," Telltale brings the same characters in consoles.

For those who love Telltale's "Game of Thrones," you should rejoice because Telltale Games just confirmed the next season of their popular video game "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The first season of "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series" just concluded its first season with its final installment "The Ice Dragon." It ended in a bloodshed and heartbreak for the House of Forrester. The Ironrath was gone, Rodrik Forrester was gravely injured, and his siblings and parents are either dead or in danger. Many characters have no resolution and fans would agree to this that it ended with a cliffhanger.

As per IGN, "The final episode of Season 1 just came out, and we gave Telltale's Game of Thrones Episode 6 an "Okay" score in our review, citing the lack of resolutions for the characters as a contributing factor to its score."

Many are looking forward that the issues will be resolved in the next season and fans will not be disappointed because Kevin Bruner, Telltale's CEO and co-founder and co-producer on the "Game of Thrones" adaptation has already confirmed the title's second season.

"When we initially announced the series in 2013, we let everyone know this would be a multi-title, multiyear partnership with HBO. After this week's finale, I'm pleased to officially confirm that there will be a second season of Telltale's Game of Thrones series and that it's currently in development," Bruner said.

When asked how far along they are in their development process for "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series" season two, Bruner declined to give the specifics, but he teased that "Telltale's approach to game development is much more like television than most other game developers."

He stressed that just similar to their other game series the development process takes a significant amount of time in the writer's room, not just with writers but designers, directors and creative input from all across the studio. Bruner even likened the process to how TV often spends so much time in preproduction and planning before moving into actual shooting.

So as to when the second season of "Game of Thrones: A Telltale Game Series" will come out, this is what Bruner said: "so while we cannot say exactly how far along season two is right now, we can say that there's never a shortage of sticky notes on the walls around the studio."
