Of all of the fans of Kate Middleton, perhaps the most excited for the Duchess to give birth is her husband Prince Williams, who reportedly couldn't stop talking about how thrilled he was to soon be a father at a charity visit last week, according to HollywoodLife.
The soon-to-be royal dad and his younger brother Prince Harry paid a visit to the Help for Heroes recovery center for injured troops in Tidworth, Wiltshire, where they mingled with injured service members and their families. Several of the troops brought their kids along, giving Prince William a first-hand look at what it might be like to be a father. When Corporal Josh Boggi, who brought his two-year old son along, asked the Duke if he was looking forward to being a dad, Prince William said, "Very much so," according to the Daily Mail.
The Prince also revealed that he has been warned about the long, sleepless nights with a newborn.
"All the mothers have been looking at me, 'just you wait, just you wait. Long sleepless nights,'" he said jokingly.
Prince William won't have to wait much longer, as the Kate Middleton recently revealed her due date of July 13.
Seyi Obakin, chief executive of the charity Centrepoint, spent a few hours talking with Prince William during the Duke's impromptu visit to Centrepoint's Bruce House, a charity that helps homeless young people.
"He is looking forward to being a dad. He's very excited about it," Obakin told People magazine, relaying that Prince William interacted with residents of the Bruce House who are learning important skills for their community. "They talked about music, movies, fun things. He has a genuine concern for how life is like for them as the country is going through this recession."
During the charitable visit, Prince William played a game of ping-pong and drank smoothies with the residents, according to People.
