Rihanna has kept quiet about her eighth album despite rumors of it being released this month. However, it was confirmed that her latest album titled "Anti", previously rumored to be released on Black Friday, will indeed be dropped on Nov. 27, Music Times reported.
International Business Times also gathered that the Barbadian singer's new album will be available or exclusively streaming via Tidal, a music service by Jay Z on the aforementioned date. Paying customers will also get the chance to listen to Rihanna's new songs for a week, before the album officially releases on Dec. 4.
The news outlet also added that "Anti's" Nov. 27 release would mean that the "Disturbia" hitmaker's new album would rival that of her ex-boyfriend, Chris Brown's fresh album, "Royalty."
However, it seems that Brown's album is more likely to have greater sales during its first week because "Anti" will only be available for streaming during that period.
As for the collaborating artists, the only artists confirmed to have worked with Rihanna on the album are Paul McCartney and Kanye West.
"Anti" is believed to be executive produced by West, who is a close friend to Rihanna. However, David Guetta, DJ Mustard and Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins may have also shared their expertise to the album, IBTimes informed.
It was also confirmed that Sia has also contributed one song for "Anti." Sia wrote Rihanna's "Diamonds."
It appears that Rihanna not only made her fans excited about the new release, but also with the announcement of her upcoming tour. On Monday, November 23, Rihanna left fans shocked, but happy, when she took to Instagram to inform them about her upcoming tour.
The "Anti" World Tour will start at Viejas Arena in San Diego, California on Feb. 26, Rolling Stone reported. She will be delivering her stunning performances for three months in North American before it ends on May 27 at the Oracle Arena in Oakland.
The report also said that Rihanna will perform for people of Europe in June and will stay there for two months.
Harper's Bazaar noted that the "Anti" world tour will be Rihanna's first since her "Diamonds" World Tour, which happened in 2012.
Additionally, Rolling Stone also reported that Rihanna's boyfriend Travis Scott will serve as her opening act for the North American tour. Meanwhile, The Weeknd and Big Sean will also perform with the 27-year-old songstress during her European tour.
Tickets for the "Anti" World Tour will be available to American Express cardholders and Tidal subscribers by Nov. 30. General sale date will be on Dec. 3.
