The "Teen Mom 2" stars Jenelle Evans and Leah Messer have almost similar struggles in their lives when it comes to parenting and relationships. Both MTV stars have gone through divorce and custody battles. So, both celebrity moms can understand and relate to each other.
Just recently, Messer was disheartened after losing the custody of her twins to ex-husband Corey Simms. In fact, Parent Herald previously reported that people close to the mom of three were concerned that she might get suicidal.
Messer was accused of being a bad mom for not taking her daughters in school on time. However, in a recent report from Parent Herald, she denied all accusations and expressed her beliefs that Simms cheated to win the custody battle.
"Leah knows that Corey and Miranda are close with the girls' teachers, and thinks they used those friendships to their advantage," one source told Radar Online. "She believes the teachers actually faked records."
Messer observed that one of the twins, Ali, had often been marked tardy while Alee hadn't. She thought the records were inconsistent because she brought the twin in the school at the same time. The ordeal was really a tough one for the "Teen Mom 2" star.
While Messer is waiting for the next custody hearing, Evans encouraged her to stay focus if she wants to regain the custody of her twins. "I would just say stay strong and level-headed," she told Radar Online in a separate report. "Just stay on the right path."
Messer has spent time in rehab for anxiety and depression. However, she has never admitted any personal issues. Evans, who had her own substance abuse struggle with heroin, believes it's time for her "Teen Mom 2" co-star to come clean about her dirty secrets.
"You can't force people to go to rehab," Evans continued. "If you do force them, they'll do it like, 'Yeah, I'll do it to make you happy' and then they'll get out and probably do drugs again. They have to be ready themselves."
In the meantime, Messer has to learn to co-parent with her exes Simms and Jeremy Calvert, who were reportedly plotting against her. Parent Herald previously reported that the two men met over dinner where both slammed their baby mama for alleged substance abuse.
"She went from being normal to a complete 180. Prescription pill problem" Calvert said. "This drug issue that everybody knows she has is swept under the carpet, and [she] don't want nobody knowing where she went," Simms added, who stressed that they should know her issues since they are the father of her children.
Evans advised them to be civil and to refrain from arguing. "Keep the co-parenting going the right way," she said.
