LeAnn Rimes’ Baby Plans: 'I Need a Little Girl'

LeAnn Rimes is ready to become a mom, and this time she needs a "little girl."

During a chat with People magazine, the 30-year-old revealed that she is planning to expand her family with husband Eddie Cibrian.

Rimes, who has been in the limelight from age 13, entered into a relationship with her "Northern Lights" co-star Cibrian in 2009, and got engaged to him the following year. The couple tied the knot in April 2011. Rimes' first marriage was with former back-up dancer (now a chef at New York hot spot Nobu 57) Dean Sheremet in 2002. However, the marriage didn't last long and the couple got legally separated in 2010.

Cibrian has two children from his ex-wife, former model Brandi Glanville - Mason (9) and Jake (6). "We have a lot on our plates," Rimes said to the magazine, of her life with husband, step-sons and four dogs. "But whenever I talk about kids, I'm like, 'Let's have one!' I have a lot of work to do now but I'm totally ready if it happens."

However, the pop star does not mind either adopting a child or seeking the help of a surrogate to fulfill her baby dreams.

"It took my mom 12 years to have me. I hope I don't have that [issue] but if I do, then a surrogate is something I've thought about," she told People. "Eddie and I have also talked about adopting. My capacity to love a child doesn't stop at my own eggs, obviously!"

Rimes, who is getting ready to release her latest album "Spitfire" in June, also revealed her desire to have a baby girl to give her a company. "Testosterone is all around here so I need a little girl!" she added.
