It's no longer a surprise when the Korean Game Rating Board leaks the new installment of the "Resident Evil" series. They are known to disclose information about the game before it is even officially announced to the fans.
According to Youth Health, it is reported that the South Korean video game content rating board classified "Resident Evil 7" as both a PlayStation 4 and Xbox One game.
The launching of the new video game is yet to be determined since there is still no announcement from the company behind it, Capcom. However, the Korean Game Rating Board already suggested that the next games from the "Resident Evil" franchise will come out for PS4 and Xbox One console, the news outlet added.
The information about the new game does not necessarily imply confirmation but tracing back the history, chances are Capcom will launch a better version for newer consoles.
Many believe that even though there is already a leakage released by the Korean gaming body, gamers are still left with uncertainties until Capcom makes an unveiling of the new installment. With that being said, fans still believe that the launching of "Resident Evil 7" is inevitable, Venture Capital Post reported.
In a report by Realty Today, it stated that Capcom somewhat exploited the "Resident Evil" franchise by creating remakes and spinoffs in the last years and it would not be surprising if "Resident Evil 6" will be launched again on newer gaming consoles.
Although the last installment, "Resident Evil 6," has done well in the gaming market when it came out in 2012, the direction it went to after is not exactly where the company wanted it to be as it suffered poor sales, the news portal gathered.
Venture Capital Post also reported that the new franchise of this survival horror game is created on the Unreal Engine 4, which could definitely give fans something to get excited about. "Tekken 7" as well as "Kingdom of Hearts 3" are using the same engine which provides better graphics than its predecessor.
With the excitement felt by many game fanatics about the new "Resident Evil 7", some are not really thrilled about the new supposed franchise.
Some "Resident Evil" fans would rather want Capcom to create better versions of "Resident Evil 4" or "Resident Evil 5". With all the remakes and spinoffs ahead, fans may have to wait a longer time before the launching of "Resident Evil 7," Christian Today reported.
