Samsung Galaxy S7 Release Date, Specs & Features: Leaked AnTuTu Benchmarks Reveals Powerful Exynos 8890 Chip; 2-Model Smartphone, ClearForce & More [Rumors]

Several customers are waiting for the arrival of Samsung Galaxy S7. While the anticipated phone is still months away from its scheduled release date, the handset continues to make headlines relative to its specs and features. New reports claimed that the gadget scores incredibly high in its Benchmark test.

MobiPicker reported that AT&T is already testing Galaxy S7. Many believe that the test results will be promising, but it seems that the device performed more than what was expected from it. A leak from China revealed that the result was mind-blowing.

The leak from China suggested that a Samsung phone carrying model number SM-G9300 with Exynos 8890 scored a massive 103,692 in its AnTuTu test. The score was very impressive given that the top of the line Kirin 970 SoC by Huawei only scored 79,000, iDigitalTimes has learned.

Per Geek Snack, the reports about the performance of Samsung's new chipset have been overflowing and most praised the score that the SoC get.

Despite the good reports coming about the new chipset, several Android fans were concerned with the change. When the South Korean company launched Galaxy S6, they moved away from Snapdragon 810 CPU. Some didn't like it because some key trademarks of the Galaxy S line-up like waterproof certification, removable battery, removable storage, durable design and more were removed.

Although Exynos 8890 had a high benchmark score, MobiPicker advised users to take the report with a grain of salt. According to the report, the leaked screenshot featured the model number SM-G3900 but, if one looks closely at the leaked list of Galaxy S7 model numbers, one will notice that the device with the said model number is the variant for China and it should be carrying the Snapdragon 820 chipset, not the Exynos 8890.

Whether Samsung will be using Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8990 chipset for the upcoming Galaxy S7, the device will remain powerful and efficient with any of these chipsets. However, many were hopeful about Samsung's chipset that it might dethrone Qualcomm's.

Meanwhile, it seems that Samsung has find a new technology against Apple's Force Touch. There are rumors that Galaxy S7 will feature ClearForce. According to Express, this 3D touch technology responds to various levels of screen pressure. This pressure sensitive technology will allow Samsung to add control options on the screen than the traditional swipe, pinch and tap used on multi-touch smartphones.

Back to the smartphone's chipset, do you think that the benchmark test result was reliable? Is the chipset being tested the one used in Samsung Galaxy S7?

Well, let us see how Galaxy S7 will perform once it hits the market. The anticipated smartphone is expected to launch on the first quarter of 2016.
