The Duggar name comes with a lot of controversy and this year has been a tough one for them. Josh Duggar, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michele Duggar caused a major fiasco for the whole family, which resulted to the cancelation of "19 Kids and Counting" on TLC. Now that the spin-off special from the family's defunct reality show, "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," is nearing its air date, there are rumors that the family and TLC is milking on Anna Dugar's painful journey over her husband Josh's scandal to earn some extra cash.
Inquistr reports that "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" is milking Anna's trials after Josh cheated on her. And if this strategy succeeds and the spin-off becomes a hit, Anna's participation, although reluctantly, may solve some financial worries on how the mother of four will survive. Josh is currently in rehab for his porn addiction, and, according to Fashion & Style, Anna is still thinking on divorcing him.
In the recent teaser clip for "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," Anna Duggar, 27, was seen in tears while recalling how she felt about Josh's scandal. "It was heartbreaking to hear what had happened," Anna revealed as quoted by Hollywood Life. She was then seen looking down and in the midst of breaking down.
In connection with this, Inquistr reports that fans are disappointed to see how the show is exploiting Anna's trials for ratings and is urging her to just leave.
On the official Facebook page of "Jill & Jessa: Counting On," a commenter said, "Pimping out Anna now -- you money-hungry people will stoop to the lowest of lows. You should be encouraging Anna to get the heck out of your family and get her children to safety away from their child-molesting father! Hypocrites, beggars, lazy non-working grifters that will do anything for money. Get a freaking job and get Anna and her kids out of there!"
Various Facebook groups have also popped up, one group is even urging viewers to boycott all Discovery Network channels while "Jill & Jessa: Counting On" is aired. Meanwhile, Hollywood Life reports that Anna's family is still urging her to leave Josh. A source told the news outlet that Anna's brother, Daniel, is teaming up with their other siblings to "to talk some sense into Anna" and "get [her] out of her dysfunctional marriage and away from her cheating husband."
"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" will be aired on Dec. 13, 20 and 27.
