'Tekken 7' Release Date & Characters: Title Arriving With Better Graphics; Harada To Reveal At The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2015? [Rumors]

Fans of the "Tekken" series can't wait for the arrival of "Tekken 7." Unfortunately, until now, Bandai Namco is still keeping things under wraps. While we can't tell as to when the title will finally be launched, new reports claimed that there is more to expect in the popular fighting game. Aside from featuring a number of playable characters, the upcoming title will also be equipped with better graphics.

Per VineReport, last week, "Tekken 7" game director Katsuhiro Harada was bugged by fans on his Twitter account about the status of the game. One fan requested that the title should be released while another commented about the graphics of the gameplay, citing that it never changed since its arcade version. "Can we expect graphics upgrade in console version? the graphics barely improved since arcade released," the user wrote.

However, it seems that Harada and his team are already working on improving the game's graphics as he replied with "Working on new graphics."

"Tekken 7" is already released as an arcade version in Japan early this year, while the developers still work on developing it for different consoles. The team uses the popular and advanced game software called Unreal Engine 4 during its test in arcades around the world, which makes the anticipated title compatible with PlayStation VR.

Michael Ephraim, managing director of PlayStation, announced earlier this month that PlayStation VR will revolutionize the way games are played, News.com AU has learned. "This is 360-everywhere you look you're in the game... We think it's the biggest change in gaming we've ever seen," and added that "VR has blown away expectations."

Aside from the enhanced graphics and new console compatibility, "Tekken 7" is expected to include new storyline and fresh game modes alongside the classic one-on-one battle.

In a separate note, Parent Herald previously reported that Bob, the reigning King of Iron Fist Tournament, might join "Tekken 7." The martial art prodigy had a slim frame but decided to gain weight to defeat his opponents who are bigger than him. He trained himself while gaining weight to increase his power and maintain his speed. His preparation earned him the title.

Meanwhile, during a live stream on Twitch, Harada revealed that there would be an announcement on Dec. 12 about "Tekken 7." Per SegmentNext, the King of Iron First Tournament 2015 will be held on the said date. Fans and gamers are now hoping that Bandai Namco will finally announce the release date of the long-awaited title.

Will "Tekken 7" be arriving soon? Will Harada finally announce its release date? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
