“Pokemon Z” is yet to be officially released. It has been three years since the last versions “Pokemon X” and “Pokemon Y” have been released and it's about time for this highly-anticipated sequel to come into players' hands.
Yibada reported that the game will come as a Christmas present along with the augmented reality version, “Pokemon GO.” Rumors also suggested that “Pokemon GO Plus,” which is optimized for AR-centric gaming, will be released as well.
To date, no official word has been released by The Pokemon Company. Earlier, it was reported that an announcement will come by way of Japanese magazine CoroCoro this month. Fans are hopeful that finally the official release date and other new game features will be unveiled then.
As “Pokemon Z” is the latest installment to the already well-loved franchise, players can only expect the best from the game. Here are some possible features that the game might have:
New Region
According to Fantendo Wikia, the upcoming game will take place three years after “Pokemon X/Y,” in a new Spain-inspired region named Ampardo.
New Monsters and Evolutions
The game is also rumored to feature more than 35 new Pokemon and over 25 new Mega Evolutions, along with five new Legendary Pokemon.
New Monster Types
The new monsters rumored to come are also said to be clustered into two new types, namely Light and Cosmic Pokemon.
The Light type Pokemon are super effective against Dark, Poison and Fairy types. They are weak to Water, Dark, Flying and Electric types.
Cosmic type Pokemon, on the other hand, are powerful against Ground, Flying, Electric and Light types, and are unaffected by Flying types. They are weak to Fairy, Dragon, Bug, Grass and Steel types.
New Graphics and Battle Elements
The game is also said to feature enhanced graphics, new moves, new pokemon-specific abilities and new battle effects.
More Personalized Game Experience
Back then, players can “personalize” their “Pokemon” experience by making their personal roster of Pokemon and by giving each monster a personalized name.
Movie Pilot said that "the original appeal of Pokémon was to imprint yourself onto the game mechanics, mostly through cultivating a cool and varied line-up of Pokémon."
However, this will be changed should the game introduce character customization options that enable players to tweak "your trainer right down to their facial features."
Fans will just have to wait for the official release of “Pokemon Z.”
