'Fifty Shades Darker' Trailer & Cast: Delayed Due to Jamie Dornan's Wife Pregnancy? Actor Confident in Playing Christian Grey -- Everything We Know So Far

It's still a long while before "Fifty Shades Darker," the sequel to the hit film “Fifty Shades of Grey,” arrives in theaters. The team behind the movie adaptation is all geared up to tease fans on what to expect in the sequel of E.L. James’ erotic novels. Lead star Jamie Dornan even revealed that he is confident in playing the sexy Christian Grey. However, reports say that "Fifty Shades Darker" may be pushed back more because of Dornan's wife pregnancy.

Australia Network News reports that this may be the case after photos of Amelia Warner, the actor's wife, seemingly hiding a baby bump surfaced online. In the photos, posted via Daily Mail, the couple was seen in London with their daughter Dulcie. Warner was wearing a black long coat and snow boots, but her bulging belly managed to peek through.

There's still no confirmation if Warner is really pregnant or not, but Realty Today notes that Dornan has asked for a longer vacation to have more family time as they are allegedly expecting a baby. Another reason for the rumored delay of "Fifty Shades Darker" is casting.

"We're nowhere near casting. We haven't gotten into anything like that. We don't even have a casting director on it yet," Dana Brunetti said as quoted by News Everyday.

Design & Trend notes that there are rumors that Charlize Theron will play Mrs. Robinson, Ian Somerhalder will play Jack Hyde and Cara Delevingne will play Leila Williams.

Rumors aside, Dornan recently sat with People to express his confidence in playing the bad sexy character of Christian Grey. He told the news outlet, "I'm looking forward to embodying Christian again -- and getting a chance to show more of him."

Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele, also expressed her fearlessness in shooting NSFW scenes. Talking with Elle Magazine, the actress said, "I don’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is I have no shame. I think there's a part of a woman that wants to be the thing that breaks a man down."

MoviePilot speculates that based on the actor's statements, the "Fifty Shades" team may be hinting that "Fifty Shades Darker" will be sexier. However, the news outlet explains that the "Fifty Shades" team may push the boundaries too far that it may end up getting too dark.
