Marvel hired the talented writer Stephany Folsom to work on the screenplay for the upcoming movie "Thor 3: Ragnarok." The third installment of the series will start the production next summer in Australia.
In a report by Superhero Hype, Folsom has already agreed to work on the script for the next Thor adventure, which was supposed to have been already written by the previous writers.
The writer is known for her work in the film "1969: A Space Odyssey or How Kubrick Learned to Stop Worrying and Land on the Moon." The movie is about a theory that famous director Stanley Kubrick was hired by the US government to fake the moon landing.
Folsom, who also maintains a blog, has just finished working on the upcoming movie from Walt Disney Pictures entitled "The Princess of North Sudan". The Walt Disney production received criticism for making a fairytale movie based on a true story about an American father who went to Africa and to claim a territory to make his daughter a princess, the news portal added.
In a report by Ace Showbiz, it stated that Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle, who previously worked with the first two Thor installments, "Thor" and "Thor: Guardians of the Galaxy," have already finished writing the scripts for the new installment. However, Marvel production decided to hire Folsom and rewrite the draft.
The director from New Zealand, Taika Waititi, was signed in October to work on the new installment of the series. With Folsom added to work with "Thor 3: Ragnarok," Waititi should be in a good position to direct the project. With a new director and a talented screenwriter, "Thor 3" should be a breath of fresh air for fans, giving the film an unpredictable plot.
The star of the movie, Chris Hemsworth, is said to be very excited with the new line up that will work behind the camera.
"I think [Thor 3] needs to be injected with that sort of smart wit and unexpected kind of humor, kind of what James Gunn came in and did with 'Guardians'. It was like off center and unpredictable, and I think we can definitely use a dose of that, you know?" confessed Hemsworth.
Meanwhile, several fans are still waiting for new footage of the film, "Thor 3: Ragnarok." There are reports that a series of trailers will be released by the production company before the movie hits theater on Nov. 3, 2017.
