Pamela Anderson's Kids Encourage Mom To Do Last Playboy Cover: 'Mom You've Got To Do It'

Playboy announced in October that it will be publishing its final nude issue for its January/February 2016 release. Now, the men's magazine finally revealed that they picked actress Pamela Anderson to grace the monumental edition.

Entertainment Weekly got dibs on Pamela's Playboy gig during an interview. "I got a call from [Hugh Hefner's] attorney who said, 'We don't want anybody else. There's nobody else, could you do the last cover of Playboy?'" the actress said. Pamela has been on the cover of the magazine a total of 14 times.

The actress first appeared on Playboy back when she was an up-and-coming "Baywatch" actress at 22. Now at 48 and a mom of two grown boys, Pamela admitted she didn't believe the offer at first. "It's hard to compete with the Internet. And the girl next door doesn't exist anymore. She's taking selfies down her shirt, like, you know, there's no mystery over there anymore."

Then, there are concerns about her boys who might not warm up to the idea that their mother is once again posing for Playboy. As a mom, Pamela related her kids were teased and got involved in fist-fights growing up. However, her 19-year-old son Brandon told her, "Mom you've got to do it." Her son also said he and his 17-year-old brother Dylan think their mother is great. "I don't know what to say but they were really excited for me, and I was excited too," Pamela added in the interview.

Playboy already teased their feature with Pamela, who talked about her very first work with the magazine. "The photographer shot me in one roll of film because I was nervous and throwing up," she confessed to Playboy Magazine. "I was painfully shy before, but then it clicked in my head that nobody cares what you look like naked except you."

She also dished that being a Playboy model was not part of her career plan; that there was this option for her. "It wasn't something I pursued. But I guess I've done pretty well for myself just going with the flow."

The actress also kidded that one of her sons may have been conceived during her visits at Hugh Hefner's Playboy mansion, per Daily Mail. The news outlet reported that, for the last Playboy nude issue, Pamela did a 12-page pictorial with photographer Ellen Von Unwerth. The edition will be out in newsstands Dec. 11.
