One of the highly anticipated games, “Final Fantasy VII Remake," has released a new gameplay trailer in the recent E3 event to reignite fans' excitement and show that it is more than just a remake but a "total overhaul," per ArsTechnica.
The trailer gives a glimpse of the new 3D version of "Final Fantasy VII Remake." Compared to the game's past pre-rendered, top down environment, players will have a better view during combat with its default third-person, over-the-shoulder viewpoint.
Apart from the spoken dialogue, Mod Vive notes that the game will have enhanced moves, which will enable players to hop and slide while navigating through Midgar. The trailer also shows an "active-battle twist,” which gives added control of in-game characters.
During the event, director Tetsuya Nomura also announced that "Final Fantasy VII" is now available on PlayStation 4 and can be purchased via the PlayStation Store. However, Nomura did not reveal a release date for the "Final Fantasy VII Remake."
On the PlayStation Blog, Dan Seto, SEJ West Community Manager fo Square Enix, gives more details for the revamped version of "Final Fantasy VII." According to Seto, "Final Fantasy VII Remake" is still in its incubation period, but the trailer shows how it will have familiar scenes like those in "Final Fantasy VII."
"It definitely looks more action oriented and has a real feeling of speed. There’s a lot going on in the trailer so hopefully you managed to pick out all of the details," Seto wrote. "I should point out that all of the footage shown of Final Fantasy VII Remake is work in progress footage so the final game may look slightly different to what you saw."
Meanwhile, "Final Fantasy XV" programmer Kitade reveals on the game's official forum that the pre-beta version of the latest installment in the "Final Fantasy" series is now completed, per MNR Daily.
The announcement means that "Final Fantasy XV" can now be played entirely from start to finish, and that the first-half of it is ready and at par with the quality of the finish product. Kitade also states that the team is currently smoothing out and adjusting elements for "Final Fantasy XV."
"We're at the point where we can play the game in its entirety from start to finish. From this, everyone on the development team can get an overall view on the game," the programmer revealed.
