'X-Men: Apocalypse' Cast & Plot: Professor X, Magneto Torn Apart For Good; Archangel Gets Wings, Character Has a Major Role? [Rumors]

There is no doubt that many are looking forward to the next adventure of the mutant superheroes. Now that we are less than six months away from the premiere of the anticipated blockbuster flick "X-Men: Apocalypse," the hype about the film is growing more intense. More and more details leak and fans love it.

The recent scoop we have about "X-Men: Apocalypse" involves Professor X and the magnet-manipulating superhero Magneto, who have been sharing a love-hate relationship. Their relationship is among the foundation for "X-Men" threads in the past years and, per FoodWorldNews, the two characters might just be torn apart for good in the upcoming flick.

Charles Xavier a.k.a Professor X (played by James McAvoy) and Erik Lehnsherr a.k.a Magneto (played by Michael Fassbender) were best friends, but they are heading for a free fall with Apocalypse's (Oscar Isaac) presence. So, fans can expect to see this in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

These two characters have different perspectives when it comes to their role and essence of existence. While Professor X believes in co-existence with human, Magneto thinks otherwise. The latter sees the intolerance of humans against the mutants and believes that they need to isolate mutants from the rest of the humankind.

"The questions the film will therefore ask - how far can two opposing philosophies be stretched until no mutual ground can be found? - will likely strike a more intelligent tone than two similar films pitting hero versus hero, 'Captain America: Civil War' and 'Batman vs Superman'," Moviepilot reported.

"In those films, the prospect of a big fight between the two protagonists is in such heavy focus that the sense that the fight is earned, that the two characters share enough love to hate so intensely, is lost. In Apocalypse, it's earned. These two men have six films worth of history."

The report suggested that Professor X and Magneto could be together or torn apart for good in "X-Men: Apocalypse." Well, perhaps, many wants these two characters to reconcile but that would be a struggle knowing that Magneto is one of Apocalypse's four horsemen. Well, let see how things would go.

Meanwhile, CinemaBlend reported that, in the comics, Apocalypse transformed the mutant Angel into Archangel. Thus, fans will likely see the transformation in "X-Men: Apocalypse."

Angel is one of Apocalypse's four horsemen along with Magneto, Storm and Psylocke. The report suggested, "his role in the film will be a big one." We do not know yet, but this could be hinting about his potential transformation.

Will Angel's transformation to Archangel be featured in "X-Men: Apocalypse?" We will see.

"X-Men: Apocalypse" premieres on May 27, 2016.
