Kate Middleton News: Duke, Duchess Skipping Royal Christmas, Celebrating at Anmer Hall; Kate Spotted Wearing Princess Diana's Tiara [Photo]

The royal family is plagued with several controversies claiming that they are not in good terms. Kate Middleton has been called as a commoner by Camilla Parker-Bowles and Queen Elizabeth, but the Duchess of Cambridge seems not to mind it. In fact, she loves teasing them by imposing her commoner ways.

Parent Herald previously reported that Kate and her mom Carole Middleton are planning for another commoner Christmas. This practice displeased the monarch because it breaks the royal tradition.

Last year, Kate and Prince William attended the church with Queen Elizabeth. However, after the service, the royal couple celebrated the holidays at the Anmer Hall. The royals would normally join the monarch at the Sandringham House for a turkey dinner, but they went festive with the Middletons and snubbed the queen. The said decision disgusted the monarch and this year's celebration will be no different.

In a recent interview with Big Issue, the royal couple disclosed their plans for Christmas. "We'll go to church as a family on Christmas Day, as we always do," said the Duke. "Then we'll watch George try to tackle his presents as he tries to unwrap them. It's a very different experience at Christmas, having a family of your own. It'd be nice if we got a white Christmas because we haven't had one in many years."

Prince William even hinted that they might find it hard to sleep because Prince George will be bouncing around like a rabbit. The royal family is excited for the holiday, especially now that they already have two children.

According to Telegraph, one source said: "The family will head to church with the Royal Family as normal and they are likely to base themselves at Anmer Hall as they did last year." The Middletons are expected to visit them at their home. However, the source added that "They may decide to drop into Sandringham at some point during the day but they are likely to decide on their arrangements nearer the time."

Meanwhile, E! Online reported that the Duchess attended the annual Diplomatic Reception at Buckingham Palace with Princess Diana's popular tiara. The report suggested that this is the fourth time Kate was spotted wearing the regal piece.

This Lover's Knot tiara was commissioned from Garrard in 1913 to 1914 by Queen Mary. When she died, the tiara was passed to Queen Elizabeth who wore it regularly. When the monarch decided to focus on her other jeweled accessories, she gifted it to her daughter-in-law Princess Diana and this was among her favorite pieces.

Now, the popular tiara is handed to Kate and it looks gorgeous on her. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
