'Final Fantasy 7' PS4 Port Features Three Cheats; 'Ugliest' Version of 'Final Fantasy 6' to be Released on Steam? [Rumors]

Earlier this week, Square Enix released the gameplay trailer of "Final Fantasy VII Remake," which showed it is more than just a remake but a "total overhaul," per ArsTechnica. Along with the announcement, director Tetsuya Nomura also said that the PlayStation 4 port for the HD version of "Final Fantasy VII" will also be released via the PlayStation. Now, IGN discovers that the game contains three cheats.

According to IGN, the three cheats lets players avoid random encounters, increase game speed up to three times and "refill all life and limit break meters."

The first cheat gives gamers the ability to avoid random encounters while playing "Final Fantasy VII." The cheat can be activated by pressing the L3 and R3 sticks simultaneously, which will switch the random encounters on and off.

GameSpot advises first-time players to not use this cheat during their first play on "Final Fantasy VII" as everyone should, at least, experience the game's random fights like everyone who played "Final Fantasy VII" in the spot. Meanwhile, if for those who have gone through the random battles a lot of times, the cheat will definitely save you more game time.

The second cheat enables players to make the game faster up to three times. Press down the L3 stick to triple the game speed, and then press it again to return to normal speed. The said cheat will affect all activities, but this will again, per GameSpot, save time and let players fast forward to the much-awaited parts like Cloud's cross-dressing mission.

Lastly, the third cheat will refill health and limit break meters by pressing R3. However, GameSpot notes that by doing this, there will be less satisfaction after accomplishing every challenge and defeating an enemy because it's pretty much like a safety net.

Meanwhile, in other "Final Fantasy" news, Kotaku just reported that the "ugliest" version of "Final Fantasy VI" will be released on Steam next week.

Basing on the tweeted photo of artist Bill Stiernberg, the new "Final Fantasy VI" game for PC use the same interface as that of the mobile version.

According to Stiernberg, airing out some of his observations on the Twitter post, the new version of "Final Fantasy VI" lacked in detail and is "visually inconsistent.”

Stienberg also commented on the sprites, saying that they "are the most simple in color and detail” and creates a “visual clash” with the more textured environment.
