After the success of "Jurassic World," fans have been looking forward to its sequel. Now that "Jurassic World 2" is confirmed, fans are eager to know the details of what to expect in the anticipated blockbuster film.
The recent scope we have about "Jurassic World 2" revealed that the upcoming flick will have more dinosaurs and it will be coming not just from one creator. CrossMap suggested that the plot could revolve in Costa Rica.
In the first movie "Jurassic World," Dr. Henry Wu (B.D. Wong) escaped with a few embryos and headed to Costa Rica. So, it is likely that he might breed new dinosaurs there.
"We're not always going to be the only ones who can make a dinosaur," Wong said, teasing that his character might breed dinosaurs with the help of technology.
Aside from more dinosaurs, there are speculations about weaponized velociraptors in "Jurassic World 2." Per the report, these rumors spring from the plot when Vic Hoskins told Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) back in "Jurassic World" that he is planning about this as the next phase of the InGen's plan.
Colin Trevorrow will not be directing "Jurassic World 2," but he will be writing the sequel alongside Derek Connolly. Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall already confirmed to produce the film.
Trevorrow already hinted the inspiration behind "Jurassic World 2." He and writing partner Connolly turned to a line from "Park" paleontologist Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and paraphrased it, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?"
Per Entertainment Weekly, Trevorrow revealed that the sequel will not be called "Jurassic World 2" and he hinted that it would be different from the first film. The upcoming flick will "get to be a different kind of film. I feel like the audience has given us permission, to a certain extent, to take this to the next level."
"I don't necessarily mean in scale. I feel very strongly that it's not about more dinosaurs or bigger and better dinosaurs. It's about using this as a starting point for a much larger story about our relationship with these animals, and with animals, in general, and the dynamic created by bringing them back to life," Trevorrow added.
Meanwhile, Parent Herald previously reported that Dallas Howard might take the lead for "Jurassic World 2" instead of Pratt. The actress revealed that the controversial running heels in the first movie would never be featured in the next film.
"Jurassic World 2" is slated for release on June 22, 2018.
