'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Emma Chasing Hook, Reunited With Neal in The Underworld? [Rumors]

"Once Upon a Time" just wrapped the first half of season 5 and it featured an exciting plot that left fans eager to find out what will happen once the show returns.

The midseason finale also featured Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and the gang is now in a different, darker location -- the Underworld.

Now that the Dark Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) is off to the land of the dead -- because apparently, he is heartbreakingly dead -- Emma is determined not to lose him and hopefully bring him back. She forces Rumple (Robert Carlyle), who is now the Dark One (again), to open a portal to Hades' realm, or else, she'll ruin what he and Belle have.

So the portal to the Underworld was opened, and as expected, Emma's family won't let her go on a dark adventure all by herself.

With the finale episode titled "Swan Song" introducing a new realm, speculations suggested that Emma might run into Neal (Michael Raymond-James) and reunite with him, according to a report from iDigitalTimes.

Since the return will feature the Underworld, it is expected that old characters will reappear in the show, and that includes Henry's (Jared Gilmore) father, Neal.

If this speculation holds true, it will mean different things for Emma and Henry. Firstly, Henry would finally get closure with Neal's death. Secondly, it would be awkward for Emma and her ex, knowing that she went as far as crossing Hades' kingdom just to find Hook, but not him.

Then again, Neal in the Underworld is only a speculation since it remains to be seen if he will be there or if all the deceased good guys will indeed be in it at all.

However, executive producer Adam Horowitz hinted in an interview with ET Online that the Underworld is not entirely Hell. He even described it as a place "filled with people with unfinished business," regardless if they were bad or good.

Whether or not Emma will find Neal in the Underworld is something that fans can look forward to, but "Once Upon a Time" will definitely bring old characters from previous seasons.

Aside from that, Bustle reported that season 5B will introduce two new characters: Hercules (Jonathan Whitesell) and Meg (Kacey Rohl).

It will be an exciting return for "Once Upon a Time," and as revealed by executive producer Eddy Kitsis in his ET Online interview, the second half will focus more on the characters dealing with their past and getting closure.

"Once Upon a Time" season 5B returns to ABC on Mar. 6, 2016.
