Cameron Diaz is reportedly struggling in building a family with husband Benji Madden. In fact, the couple has exhausted every mean to get pregnant but to no avail. Could this experience affect the "Annie" star's perspective to happiness?
Diaz talked her thoughts about money, fame and happiness, according to Collective Evolution. Although many might feel that they already know this fact, her words are a great reminder to everyone who sometimes find himself confused about the differences of these matters.
There is no doubt that, with the growing influence of social media, people are lured to the invisible popularity race. There are more selfies and attention-grabbing posts in social media sites, but do more likes and more shares of one's photo or post really make one happy? Diaz seemed to think otherwise.
In the short clip for Human, the "Bad Teacher" star revealed that "fulfillment comes from within you, by being authentic to yourself." This statement is a reminder for everyone that indeed happiness is an inside job. You do not need other's approval or confirmation to feel good.
The actress shared that when she heard someone say, "I wanted to be an actor, I wanted to be like you," she asks them why. Diaz recognized that Americans' idea of fame is "If you're famous, you're successful. You're happy," but she does not agree with it.
Diaz stressed that she does not do her job to be famous, but being famous is part of her job. The actress revealed that she does not feel famous when she's with her friends and family. Instead, she just feels herself.
"The Other Woman" star revealed that she was lucky to have parents who always teach her and her sister to be a good person. In fact, the hardest part was losing his dad and seeing her mom saying her goodbye to their patriarch.
Diaz was very grateful with her parents and there is no doubt that the actress would also be a great mom, given the chance to raise her own children. Parent Herald previously reported that the "The Counselor" star and rockstar husband Madden are expecting twins or triplets.
"When they found out they were expecting twins, Benji and Cam were in shock, but completely overjoyed," a source told Life & Style magazine. Unfortunately, it seems that the reports were not true at all. We hope Diaz and Madden will soon have their little one, though.
The Huffington Post admitted that it finds Diaz's statement very wise. It even stressed that there is a particular research showing that every person is in control of his joy. Happiness has more to do with one's state of mind than one's circumstance.
