“GTA 6” is one of the most anticipated games by the the gaming community and also a favorite subject when it comes to the rumor mill.
Currently, various speculations are surfacing regarding the still undated sequel.
Crossmap reported that the game map has been leaked by a reddit user named VermillionDemonFox. As seen in the leaked photo, one can see that the upcoming huge map has incorporated maps from earlier game installments.
San Andreas will be located in the southwest area, with Las Venturas inside its territory. San Fierro will be taking the place of San Franciso and will be situated north of San Andreas.
The Vice City, which is found in earlier games, will be found eastwards from Las Venturas. To the north is another familiar map called Liberty City.
Master Herald reported that, although it is certainly possible that game developer Rockstar Games could make the map that huge, its size will be absurd given that the game involves traveling between heists.
This map leak is in connection with a previous rumor speculating that the upcoming map will be a “state-to-state” map of America. It has also produced an offshoot rumor which states that the game will be introducing a teleportation feature.
MH reported that critics have been asking for confirmation regarding the rumored huge map. If that is true, they said that traveling from state to state would bring some amount of downtime when the game officially releases a few years from now. Having the teleportation feature, they claimed, will address this.
MH also reported that another rumor is that Rockstar Games wants to make “GTA 6” the next “World of Warcraft.”
According to the news outlet, Take-Two Interactive, which owns Rockstar Games, is the one who said they are looking to do just that. Although the game company did not give details regarding that plan, reports said that Rockstar Games plans to enhance the multiplayer features of the game to go with the current trend.
Another possibility is that “GTA 6” will offer subscriptions too, just like “World of Warcraft,” which holds the Guinness world record for the most popular massively multiplayer role-playing game (MMORPG) in terms of the number of subscriptions.
Some critics, however, tend to believe that Rockstar Games will rather focus on bringing subscriptions to “GTA 6” instead of focusing on an enhanced multiplayer mode, as there is already a multiplayer “GTA Online” which receives updates every time a new version of the game comes out.
So far, these are only rumors. What do you think?
