Fans have been drooling to hear the release date of the anticipated game "Kingdom Hearts 3." Unfortunately, Square Enix is very good at keeping things under wraps. The title's popularity is affected by the long wait, but there are new reports coming out that may revive the hype about the game.
In a recent report from Parent Herald, "Kingdom Hearts 3" is out of the top 10 of the latest Famitsu list. The title is now sitting at the 11th spot while "Final Fantasy 15," which is developed by the same team, remains on the top of the most-wanted games. One of the potential reasons the title dropped is the long wait.
While "Kingdom Hearts 3" is slowly losing its popularity, a new leak seems to revive the hype about the game. According to GamePur, a clip coming from the November D23 Expo event that took place in Tokyo just resurfaced online.
Per the report, during the event, there was a closed-door presentation that was only limited to very few loyal fans. The presentation features brand new trailers, which has not been released elsewhere.
In the last few hours, a Japanese cable TV aired a short footage of the D23 Expo event showing up some pieces of information about the much-awaited title "Kingdom Hearts 3" and a few seconds of the trailer was displayed at the event in November.
It was just a few seconds, though, but one can see Sora using a new type of weapon. Mickey Mouse was also spotted in the footage. Overall, everything looks familiar. While many fans are eager to know how "Kingdom Hearts 3" is shaping up, no further details were revealed.
Meanwhile, there was a buzz circulating online that "Toy Story" will be among the new worlds in "Kingdom Hearts 3." A short gameplay clip of Sora, Donald and Goofy jumping aboard yet another Disney theme park ride cart that looked like a replica of Magic Kingdom's Buzz Lightyear Shooting Ride from Disney World was featured at the D23 Expo. The said scene made fans believe the potential inclusion of "Toy World" to "Kingdom Hearts 3."
Hardcore Gamer suggested that fans should not be too excited about the theme park ride reveal because there were also characters or worlds that were featured in the past trailers but, up to now, have never showed up in the game.
"We see things or characters in trailers or gameplay reveals that we assume are conformations of worlds that will be visited in the game, only to later realize that those worlds never appear once throughout the game when it's released," said the report.
