Tech giant Microsoft has reportedly issued its apologies to all users of the Surface Book or the Surface Pro 4, who have been having problems with these gadgets, and has promised to work on fixes.
According to ZDNet, Microsoft wants to make amends for being unable to deliver what it promised earlier and for giving some disappointments to those who tried their hand at the new Windows 10 devices.
First, Microsoft backed out on its promise of “unlimited storage” when a certain number of users greedily stored up to or exceeding a massive 75 TB of data per user. At that time, Microsoft appeared to be blaming the users for using the said feature.
Although Microsoft didn't give “unlimited storage” back and opted to give only 1 TB of OneDrive storage space, it did say that it's “truly sorry” when it realized that their announcement was offensive to the community.
Next, Microsoft wanted to apologize to those who purchased the Surface Book and the Surface Pro 4, but experienced some problems with flickering screens, random crashes as well as battery issues.
In response to the complaints, a certain Josh_F posted in a Microsoft Community forum that they are thankful for all the “open and candid feedback” that they have received.
“For those of you who've had a less-than-perfect experience, we’re sorry for any frustration this has caused,” he posted. “Please know that we're reading your comments and hearing you loud and clear.”
The forum owner said that all the inputs, whether positive or negative, are highly valuable for them and are helping them to develop new updates and fixes that will address issues.
“Since launch, we have aggressively pursued the most pressing feedback,” he added. “We have already issued a number of updates via Windows Update and are working to issue additional updates and fixes as soon as possible to further improve the overall Surface experience.”
He added that users can ensure that they have received the latest updates which contain important fixes by going to the Microsoft support page. Those who don't know how to download and install the latest updates for their Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 devices, as well as Window operating systems, will also find instructions there.
In another news, The Rem reported that rumors are saying Microsoft will be announcing the highly-anticipated “Surface Phone” in March next year. It was earlier reported to be under development with the code name “Juggernaut Alpha.”
