There's no denying that country-pop singer Taylor Swift has had several boyfriends in the past, but she never had someone her parents are so comfortable with. However, a new report claimed that the mother of American musician was spotted getting comfortable with her present love.
According to a report by from US Weekly, during the "Blank Space" singer's birthday, her boyfriend of nine months, Calvin Harris, was spotted getting some quality time with her family on Sunday, Dec. 13 at her home in Hollywood, California.
Earlier this year, The "Bad Blood" singer's mom was diagnosed with cancer, which was very sad news for Taylor who has always been close with her family. Harris, who works as a DJ, may have earned some points from his ladylove and the whole family, especially her mother during the intimate dinner.
This is the first time Taylor brought the Scottish DJ to her family, which is already a big step in their relationship that was surrounded by break-up rumors .
According to TMZ, Taylor's mother, Andrea, was all smiles when she met the charming boyfriend of her daughter. That could be a good indication that he got her approval.
The 26-year-old Taylor has just come back from her tour for the promotion of her latest album, "1989." As soon as she arrived home, she did not waste any time to go to their family gathering with her boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the report relayed by Us Weekly mentioned that Taylor and Harris, along with her family, were photographed outside her private home talking with each other and having some good laughs.
There was even a photograph of Harris standing next to Taylor's mom, who was clearly having a good time with her daughter's partner. Harris certainly knows how to get the mother's approval.
Andrea has always been there for her daughter. When they found out that she has cancer, Taylor was devastated. It only made them become closer to one another. "Mothers know best," as what they say. Seeing Andrea having a good time with her boyfriend must be a big deal for Swift.
"For many years, I was her constant companion," Andrea said. She added that she "witnessed a young girl with very few friends become a young woman with many, learning to stand up for herself and the things she believes in, being brave enough to explore her musical curiosity, having a voice against those who hate, and giving of herself to those in need."
