After over four years of waiting, there is a big possibility that the much talked about sixth book of "The Song of Ice and Fire" will soon see the light of day. There are several reports about the spoilers and delay of "The Winds of Winter," but fans would surely love the recent reports about it.
"The Winds of Winter" is rumored to be released in the first quarter of 2016. According to Christian Today, the anticipated book may be out by Feb. 23, 2016. If this is true, then this is good news for fans who have been dying to get a copy of the book.
The release date of "The Winds of Winter" has been making headlines for years. The author, George RR Martin, targeted the book's release date to be before "Game of Thrones" season 6. If the book will be out by February, then the celebrity author hits his target because HBO's popular TV show will debut in April.
Earlier this year, Martin spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the book's release date in relation to the upcoming season of "GoT." Publishing "The Winds of Winter" before "Game of Thrones" season 6 "has been important to me all along," said the New Mexican author.
"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish. But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done," he added.
Looks like there is indeed a big chance that "The Winds of Winter" will be out early next year. In a recent report from Parent Herald, "GoT" season 6 production crew was spotted with a manuscript of the book and one of the editors accidentally spilled the news.
Well, it is no surprise if the "GoT" crew follows the storyline of the book, after all, the TV show was inspired from the novel. Following the reports that a "GoT" crew had the manuscript of "The Winds of Winter" was its influence to the show.
The showrunners of "GoT" stated "that they have made changes to the plotlines of the TV series vis-a-vis the George Martin's novel, it cannot be denied that the main storylines on the book have been captured by the show," Master Herald reported.
The report stressed that Daenerys Targaryen will bring blood bath in Westeros. The bloody encounter will happen when she brings her dragons and army to her native land to remove the Lannisters off the throne.
