Kate Middleton is popular in her fashion and style. The royal mom seems to pass this on her daughter by dressing Princess Charlotte for a photo shoot.
The youngest British royal was pictured wearing the pink smocked dress with ruffled neck in the recent photos taken by the Duchess of Cambridge, which was released last Sunday, The Inside Korea reported.
The dress was designed by a family-run children's clothing shop in Spain and they were flooded with orders from around the world after Princess Charlotte's photo was posted. However, it is unlikely for every baby girl to get the same dress as the royal baby. Moreover, the manufacturer will not be enjoying a cash bonanza from the said product because they run out of material.
"One-thousand per cent. I had a piece of the fabric at home and then I compared it, I called Hola.com and I said, 'I just bought your magazine, and I am the designer of the dress.' They were extremely happy," said Margarita Pato, the 62-year-old founder and designer of M&H.
"I only have 10 metres of that cloth left. I have had inquiries from as far afield as America, but the material will do for 22 dresses at most, and I can't get any more because the factory that makes it in Valencia has moved on to material for summer 2016 and next winter. I don't know how we are going to meet it," she added.
Pato has five shops in Spain, including two in Madrid. The pink dress worn by Princess Charlotte's dress is thought to have been bought in the Valladolid branch in the north of the country by the royal baby's nanny Maria Borallo, who is from nearby Palencia, The Telegraph has learned.
Although Pato will not be able to meet the demand for the dress, she was extremely happy to see her design on the royal baby. "I am so excited. We are a small company and I choose the material, design the clothes, I do everything. For me, seeing the princess wearing one of my dresses is like winning the lottery, a huge prize. I am so happy," she said.
M&H only makes two garments in each size and stock has been a huge problem to the store at the time. Pato tried to source the material she used for the dress from other suppliers to no avail. However, she announced that the first 22 people who inquired about Princess Charlotte's dress, which was handmade and costs 29 euros, would receive their made-to-order garments.
Pato is encouraging the people who love the dress to check their site for other beautiful designs and dresses. Meanwhile, she shared a snapshot of the suit and shorts that she plans to give to Prince George. Check it out here.
