Adele '25' Album: 'Hello' Singer Sells Three Million Copies Of Her Comeback Album; Breaks Taylor Swift's And 'NSync's Records

Adele breaks record sales as she sold 3.38 million copies of her latest album, "25" just after a week of its release. The soul singer is truly in a league of her own as her fans are all lining up just to get a piece of her.

Her No.1 single "Hello" also smashed records with her YouTube video getting a view rate of 1.6 million times per hour. The ticket sales for her upcoming tour has already sold out. So if anyone asks who is the most powerful and influential woman in the music industry today, there is no doubt that it is Adele.

While selling millions of copies within a week have been done by Taylor Swift and 'NSync in the past, their numbers are not as close as to what the authentic singer did. Swift's "1989" album sold 1.287 million copies in its first week while 'NSync sold 2.433 million albums in four days in 2000, according to Fox News.

Adele on the other hand, could not understand how she was able to break records, TIME reported. "It's a bit ridiculous, I'm not even from America," the 27-year old singer said while setting down her cup of tea.

The authenticity of the soul singer also contributes to her global success. At a time when the music industry sounds just like the same, Adelle stands out. Lead singer of OneRepublic, Ryan Tedder acknowledged the power of the "Hello" singer and mentioned that she studied the old greats like Ella Fitzgerald and Nat King Cole.

And of course, we cannot deny that unique voice most are pulled instantly. "When she writes a song, it doesn't sound like songwriting by a committee," Tedder says. "It's just her."

Most of her fans also acknowledge that the singer's personality also drew them to the singer a she is funny and witty. She does not care about endorsement deals like most singers out there, which makes her deserving of all the accolades she is getting.
