‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6B News, Update, Trailer & Spoilers: Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell Tease Possible ‘PLL’ Movie, Marlene King Confirms Season 8 – Things We Know So Far

Several fans are now excited for the major comeback of the popular American TV series "Pretty Little Liars" early next year. Most, if not all, fans know that the second half of season 6 kicks off with a five-year time jump placing the lead stars' characters in the future.

Prior to its return, "Pretty Little Liars" followers went berserk when a news report about Marlene King saying that the long-running ABC drama would end after season 7 came out of the blue. Variety reported that the creator admitted Tuesday that, as far as she knows, t will end following the forthcoming season.

"I think that this story when we're back will end next year at the at end of season 7," Marlene said in an interview. She even confirmed to the entertainment news outlet that she wanted it to end at the upcoming season and does not want it to go beyond that.

However, it seemed like there was a misunderstanding to Marlene's statements as she claimed the next day that she did not mean "end" as in the conclusion of "Pretty Little Liars."

"What I said was 'This Uber A story that starts on January 12 will end when season 7 ends.' I did not say PLL will end. Just sayin 4 real," Marlene posted in a tweet Tuesday night. "Technically I was supposed to say 'the new big bad' but let's get real, it's 'uber A.' #whatwehavebeenwaitingfor."

To recall, "Pretty Little Liars" wrapped up the half of its sixth season revealing that Cece Drake (Vanessa Ray) is A. She is Alison DiLaunrentis' (Sasha Pieterse) older brother Charles, who transited into Charlotte and later went by the name CeCe. Moreover, she is the one responsible to tormenting the four lead characters Spencer Hastings (Troian Bellisario), Hanna Marin (Ashley Benson), Emily Fields (Shay Mitchell) and Aria Montgomery (Lucy Hale).

Meanwhile, aside from divulging that "PLL" is not ending on its seventh season, the lead stars also teased that there might be a movie coming soon. "Yeah, there's like rumors of maybe a movie - there might be a movie, but seven seasons will definitely end the show," Lucy said to E! News.

Shay even quipped of a vacation setting on the prospect of "PLL" movie. "I keep pushing them. We all do. We're like, 'Can we do it in Europe? Or, like, Tahiti?'" she said in a statement.
