'Game of Thrones' Season 6 Rumors, Cast News, Spoilers & Update: HBO Releases 20-Minute Animated Video Featuring Oberyn Martell, Other Ghost Characters; A Sign ‘The Winds of Winter’ Hit Shelves Soon?

While several fans are itching to watch the upcoming season 6, "Game of Thrones" has given their die-hard followers a Christmas present! On Wednesday, HBO dropped the mic again as they revealed that the Blu-ray box set of "GoT" Season 5 will include a 20-minute animated film for fans to enjoy before the comeback in Spring 2016.

Movie Pilot revealed that the said short film will tell the story of the "Dance of the Dragons," which took place in amidst an epic civil war before the events in the "Game of Thrones" took place. While they still governed the seven kingdoms, two Targaryens engaged into a war - which is considered as a legendary piece of the history of Westeros wherein Dragons were used at that time - and fought for the throne.

One of the must-watch personality in the said special feature is none other than Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), who died in the fourth season. Vanity Fair informed that the 40-year-old Chilean-American actor was reportedly the one who narrated the said film.

Furthermore, IGN shared that the 20-minute video will feature several dead characters of "Game of Thrones" including Shireen Baratheon (Kerry Ingram), Catelyn Stark (Michelle Fairley), Robert Baratheon (Mark Addy), Viserys Targaryen (Harry Lloyd) and Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson).

Also, Shireen also did a narration stint in the "Dance of Dragons" during an emotional scene with her father King Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane). ""Brothers fought brothers. Dragons fought dragons," she described the Targaryen family civil war.

With this surprise release, some fans now wonder if it is also possible that "The Winds of Winter" will also be hitting the shelves with a bang. Parent Herald previously reported that the highly-anticipated tome might be in the publishing stage right now considering the reports that it is set to be released on Feb. 26, 2016.

Author George RR Martin has not released any official statement yet. However, with the never-ending hype fans have for his overdue book, it will surely be a big hit!
