The release of Sony's PlayStation 4 created a buzz since most fans were so happy about the console; hence, reports about the follow-up did not stop swirling in the Internet. Now, new reports claimed that players will no longer be waiting that long since the next generation of PlayStation is coming sooner than everyone would ever think.
Tech Gadget Central shared that Sony will soon announce the release date of PlayStation 5 (PS5). The tech news outlet also reported that the tech giant is already working on the console and it is taking its time to develop PlayStation 5 to become the most powerful game box ever created in the market.
To recall, Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Worldwide Studios, said in April 2014 that the tech company has its very good reasons to already develop PlayStation 5. "If they [developers] still feel that we need more machine power - 'We want to realize this and that and that, but we cannot do [it] with PS4," he said at that time.
Gamers should expect for a thinner, sleeker and lighter PlayStation since the new and upcoming gadget will have a new design and will no longer carry disc drives. PS5 games will have to be digitally downloaded or streamed instead of instead of inserting physical discs in the gadget.
Moreover, the new PlayStation will be carrying a faster and more reliable AMD chipset. Not only that, as Crossmap reported, it will definitely become the most powerful game gadget with its virtual reality technology capacity and a 4k resolution.
Meanwhile, fans think that Sony will be releasing PlayStation 5 much sooner after it was confirmed that the newest Xbox by Microsoft will soon enter the market. The two tech giants have been battling for console war dominance since then.
Microsoft executive Phil Spencer said that fans should expect Xbox Two in the future. "I fully expect that you'll see another console from us [...] Our best customers are Xbox console customers, and I want to keep those people engaged both on the Xbox One and anything we might do in the future," he said in an interview with The Verge. Hence, fans should prepare themselves for the upcoming game box battle!
