Adolescence is a period of intense growth for your child. It may be emotional, physically, socially and mentally. They may become a little more or less of those. They may also be somehow confused and disturbed in many ways. As a parent, you will be the most responsible for guiding them in the right path without activating your military rules.
Here are the Ls your little teenage girl needs:
1. Love
Any child needs the feeling of being loved. According to WikiHow, your daughter might feel insecurities and you as a parent needs to show the love and affection she wants. Saying you love her would not be enough, you might as well make her feel loved by doing sweet yet mature gestures that will turn her negative outlook in life to positive ones.
2. Laugh
Many say that laughter is always the best medicine. So, why not laugh with your daughter and do things together. Try out her new hobby or might as well invite her to cook or bake with you. These will enhance your parent and child bonding and you guys might end up enjoying your time together.
3. Listen
As posted in Kids Health, the earlier you open the line of communication between you and your daughter, the longer you could keep in touch with them during their teenage years. It is true that teenagers are prone to depression especially now that technology are developing and many got buzzed up with social media and have a chance to bully anyone. Encourage her to share what is up with her life.
4. Liberty
Most of the early adolescent children get wild and rebellious. A very strict parent might push their daughter to this kind of actions. Make your daughter feel the sense of freedom any teenager would want. Let them fly with their wings but be sure light their way. Allow them to get out yet set limitations fairly. You also passed that kind of stage didn't you?
